Finally, we arrived in Death Valley and our first stop was the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes where I found this mummified tree right at the parking place. It looked so surreal, a tree in this environment, at least in the past it should have looked better and fresher than today.
The next day we were going to Death Valley. Going by car is an amazing experience. Seeing the open country and desert. Just before arriving at Death Valley, we drive through Panamint Valley. While leaving the valley we stopped and did the view back over the valley, an amazing view.
What a wonderful time, autumn. The sun stays low and the golden leaves make wonderful scenes to capture. I like autumn, especially in the morning, when all is calm and nature awakes from the long nights with a cold morning. When the first fog comes but the sun still strikes back and brings an awesome sunrise.
