I'm not Afraid
Do you know, that I have fear of heights? I can't even step on a chair without having my legs turn to jelly. But as we arrived at Grand Canyon and the sun get through the clouds even my lovely wife, who took this picture, was not able to stop me. I was going to the rim and was taking pictures. I had forgotten my fear of heights completely. Just another piece of evidence that most fears are created within our brain. This time, I should have listened to my inner voice as it was impossible to know where the rim is, as all was covered with snow. Not only once I was almost falling because of hidden holes.
Taking the Sunset
Normally, I'm the one taking the pictures, and you cannot see me. But this time, my wife did pictures as well while I was taking the sunset. It was an incredible place at the rim of the Dead Horse Point. The view is awesome, and the sun did a fantastic job to made it look spectacular.
Goosenecks Overlook
After a long day in the Capitol Reef area, we wanted to enjoy the sunset at the Goosenecks Overlook. Unfortunately, we were not sure if our car was capable of getting through the way until the overlook. Therefore, we decided to walk the way and underestimated the distance. Especially, during the cold afternoon. But the sunset was amazing and we had a wonderful time together. We returned to the car after sunset and it was already dark. But the way to our hotel was just a short drive.
Fishing
Our first day of the West US round trip. we started in Los Angeles and visited Santa Monica. And there you have to go to the Pier. It's a cool place with all kinds of different people. Next to some younger people making music and dance, there were also some guys just doing fishing and enjoying the view.
